About Xing Xie

I am an assistant professor and the Carlton S. Wilder Junior Professor in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Georgia Tech. Prior to joining Georgia Tech, I was a postdoc at Caltech. I received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in Environmental Science & Engineering from Tsinghua. I received my second M.S. degree in Materials Science & Engineering and Ph.D. degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Stanford. My research interests center around the applications of environmental biotechnology and materials science at the nexus of water and energy. I have worked on many projects related to water treatment and reuse, pollutant detection and quantification, and energy and resource recovery.
