Fully printed Robotic Gripper with human cognitive adaptability to revolutionize households
To expand robotic applications in household tasks, a lightweight 3D printed, cognitive robotic gripper (COGBOT) with decision-making capabilities was developed employing graphene ink printed capacitive multi-sensor array (CAPSENSAR) which bestows human cognitive perspective to the COGOT.
A combined fibre/free-space-optical communication system at millimetre-wave/sub-THz frequencies
A combined fibre/free-space-optical (FSO) communication system for long-haul wireline/wireless transmission at MMW/sub-THz frequencies is realized. This combined communication system at MMW/sub-THz frequencies shows promise for developing high data rates in long-haul wireline-wireless transmission.
A general framework for quantifying uncertainty at scale
Quantifying uncertainty and performing sensitivity analysis in real-world, large-scale numerical simulations is virtually impossible with standard methods. We show that our recently developed sensitivity-driven sparse grid interpolation methods enables these two important tasks at scale.
Mapping of the mechanical response in Si/SiGe nanosheet device geometries
Peering into the mechanics of nanosheet device structures using x-ray diffraction uniquely reveals the interplay of distinct deformation modes as dictated by their geometry.
Dynamic Spectrum Sharing Between Active and Passive Users Above 100 GHz
We report a dual-band backhaul prototype operating above 100 GHz. It can be dynamically re-configured in real time to avoid interference to passive satellite sensing systems, enabling safe coexistence of active and passive users in this spectrum.
